STARTING YOUR CAREER

At first, you would be prompted 3 options of universes. Those are Inherit, Generate, and Restore Default. Those three options are totally different universes. If you choose Inherit Universe, the game would generate a world that MDickie had created special for you, users. There, you could find Mat Dickie himself as the Manager of Federation Online. Also you may find famous wrestlers or even boxers with unique name. If you choose Generate Universe, the game would generate random characters with random names.
There is a small posibillities of finding a famous wrestler as maybe you wished to meet in Inherit Universe. If you don't choose Inherit Universe nor Generate Universe, than there is only one choice left, it is restore default. Restore default will reset the original world in Inherit Universe including your avatar and all of it's achievments to its original universe.

After you decided your universe, than all you need is creating your avatar or your character. There are several options to edit your character. You may create it however you like. The first option is Profile. The profile is used to change your character's basic profile. This includes your name, height, age, gender, allegiance, demeanour, and property.

a. Name - as you know, this changes your name. You may change it to your name or any other name or just let it be.

b. Height - This changes your characters height. Just to let you know, don't make your character too tall or too short. Because if your character is too tall, it would be awkward. But if you make your character too short, it would make your character defeated easily. 6 feet and a few inches would be good.

c. Age - This option changes your character's age. Tips, don't make your character too young or too old. If you make your character too young, you will have a hard beginning of your career. Rosters wouldn't give you a good contract. I think because they assume that you are still a amateur. But if you make your character too old, your character may die real soon. Meaning, you may still not win a world title or a famous wrestler and you already died.

d. Gender - This defines you character's gender. This doesn't really matter I think. Eventhough I haven't try my career as a women. No time...

e. Allegiance - Meaning, it decdes your character's side, the face or heel. Face means the good side and heel means bad side.

f. Demeanour - I don't know how to proprly define this. But I think it is more like your character's expression (Angry, Docile, or Neutral).

g. Property - This would choose what property will your character brings when he/she enters the ring. You could just bring nothing or even explosives. It's all up to you.

After you are done editing your character's profile, you will now edit your character's attributes. You may only edit your character's abiility and not it's popularity and reputation. At start, you would only be given 50 % for every stats and an extra 35 points for you to choose. There are 5 basic ability that you could edit (Strength, skill, agility, stamina, toughness).

a. Strength - it determines your character's strength in his attacks. This includes punches, kicks, stomps, crushes, and other attacks. The higher your character's strength, the higher your character damaged it's opponnets in every single attack.

b. Skill - This determines your character's skill from hitting back or getting off of it opponent's attack. The higher the skill would make your character harder to get locked and being crushed by your opponent.

c. Agility - This determines your character's speed. this makes your character run faster in the ring and throw punches faster.

d. Stamina - This determines your character's stamina. Meaning, how long your character would keep it's perfect potential in the ring. If this is too low, your character would get tired easily.

e. Toughness - This determines your characters toughness of receiving it's opponent's attack. The higher the toughness would make your character less bleeding when receiving punches and unwanted bone injuries or even death.

There is also other attributes that is uneditable unless you buy the pro version. but I'm gonna still explain it anyway.

f. Popularity - Of course this determines your character's popularity. If you  have high popularity, this would make rosters give you a greater deal. You can increase your popularity by winning matches and major events. Easier if you win a world title.

g. Attitude - This determines your character's attitude. This is used when you are answering qestions from perhaps, your manager. Lower attitude would make your answer more impolite and vise versa.

h. Happiness - This determines your charcter's mood. But I don't think this is really necessary and affects how you wrestle.

After that, you choose gimmick. in this gimmick option, you may choose how you would like your character do when it enters the ring. Like for example how he walks, the ring's lighting, and your own mp3 theme to guide your character ito the ring.

Done with that, we proceed to costumes. This means, this would make your character's clothes and costumes There are three main option   :

a. Wrestling Costume - this costume would be used everytime your character enters the ring as a wrestler. Make it as good as possible, it wouldn't matter. :D

b. Casual Costume - this costume would be used every time your character is off duty. So when you have a chit chat, you would be wearing this costume. Personally, I like to wear formal suits like Tuxedos. Or you may just wear T Shirts plain or your roster's brand. up to you la...

c. Referee Costume - This costume would be wore when your character is asked to be a referee. How? I would explain it later. I suggest you wear a formal referee costume just to beseen goods. hahahaha....

Then you choose the attack option. I can't explain this part because it is impossible to explain every single attack and moves. This depends on your desire and personal expirience. Or you can choose one by one of the moves and you would see how the move works. Personally, I love mounthed punch.

Done with all of that ??? Press save and exit. At this point, your journey as a sucessful wrestler starts here. Ready ?

YOUR FIRST FIGHT

When you started your career, you are placed on what is called as wrestling school. Wrestling school is one of other 8 major rosters. In wrestling school, you wouldn't get paid. But you have what is called as creative control. What is creative control? Creative control means that you had a full control of your character. You may change any of your character profiles and costume. Or you can even start a relationship. In the relation ship bar, you may have a partner to guide you to the ring and gives you support or a manager, to manage you to success.

Back to the topic 'Your First Fight'. When you open your career, there is a long timeline. This timeline is your scheduled fight and events in the whole year. Every box or events is counted as one week. If you see an X means you have nothing to do.

As I said, at first, you would see a fight, click proceed. Here you go, your first wrestling fight. You may be confused by the control button. My pleasure to explain it for you.

Buttons   :

A - Attack (Usually punches)
G - Grapple (Must be combined with other button)
R - Run (Conrol it with your D-pad)
P - Put (To take or to put things)
T - Taunt (To start count or  use material you are holding)

Then, you would see Coach Emerson talking, yes the bald men. He would just give you a quick guide. Then, you may start to attack your opponent. Try to 'A' first. Then try to smash your opponents. Just invent my friend. After your opponent is down, press T or Taunt to start the count. You must be standing at your opponent and your character should lock your opponent. Coach Emerson, or any other referee, would start the count. Congradulations !

FIRST CONTRACT

Neither you won nor lose, you will not get paid. Because you still haven't have a contract yet. After a couple of fight, you would get your first contract with a roster. The contract wouldn't worth that much you would wish. Usually you would only get paid $300 to $900 if you are lucky. There are some part of a contract that I might need to explain. This guide might also be useful for you to make a good contract.

a. Advance - Meaning, the amount of money you want to be paid up front, more like a down payment. You only get this once, when your contract is signed.

b. Salary - The payment you get every victory or every week but not if you loses. Unless if you choose guaranteed.What is Guarantee ? I'll explain

Below it, there must be three boxes that you can tick. They are Creative, Guarantee, and Health. Each means   :

a. Creative - This option is used for you to control your character in your career. You may change any of your character's attributes, costumes, and moves. But, if you don't choose this, your manager sometimes would ask you to wear silly costumes, stupid haircuts and weird music and you can't reject those things. It's silly to wear such stupid costumes in your fight. Also sometimes your manager may ask you to promote something. It may damage your reputation and popularity when you do so. So  think this is the most important thing in your contract before you get it signed.

b. Guarantee - This would guarantee your salary paid no matter what. Even if you loses your fight you will still get paid. If you have nothing scheduled, you will still get paid. Quite useful right?

c. Health - This option would guarantee your health. Meaning if you have injuries after fight, you don't have to pay anything. This includes if you had a bone surgery, body surgery and face stich (In case of serious bleeding in your face).

Just some tips, don't make a contract worth too much. If you are just starting, just tick one box is enough. Rather than being rejected, just accept whatever your first contract is. Because after you are bonded with a roster, they would give you a better contract that worth more than your previous contract whet it expires.

ROSTERS

Rosters are wrestling labels. There are no best rosters. Every month, or even week, their rangking could change. From the number one roster can be the least famous roster in no time. But it doewsn't really matter. Just choose roster that offers you the best contract. Try to stay in one roster, because they will give you better deal next time if you wrestle well. Examples of Rosters   :

- Wrestling School - Here is where you start your career
- Federation Online - Fictional roster created by Mat Dickie himself
- Mapple Leaf Grappling
- Strong Style Wrestling
- Super Lucha Libre
- Rising Sun Puroresu
- All American Wrestling
- United Kingdom Wrestling
- Hollywood - Here is the place where wrestlers go when they retired

- Legends - Place where great wrestlers die (You can't find this but you could see it beside the name of the wrestler whey they are already dead)

WRESTLING CAREER TARGET

There are some minimum targets that you must at least achive in your career. This achievments is simple and easy to get. For example   :

a. Tag Team Title - This is the easiest belt or title that you can achive. All you need is to have a partner, for you to be a team. Join Tag team championships. Try to win in every match. A couple of match would bring you to the Tag Team Championship. This event is the most important event in your career. You could make this event as your springboard. After you win this match, you and your partner would get a belt. It is the Tag Chamionship belt.

b. Inter Title - This title had different names for this title. Some called this the Lightweight Title or just Inter Title. For me, this is the hardest title to achieve in your career. I only achieve this title once.

c. World Champion Title - This title also have different names. this title is also known as the Heavyweight title. B ut it is just the same. This title is easier to get. If you win this title, you will easily get good contract in the future.

MANAGER AND PARTNER

As you proceed with your career, of course you will improve weeks by weeks. You will need somebody to manage you. Manager could be useful for you to make good deals. They can pursue big rosters to give you an extraordinary contract. But you always got what you pay for. Normally, they would ask 20% - 35% of your income. But you can find free manager, eventhough they are not as smart as the paid manager. You can't find free manager actually. You will need to wait for your roster manager to offer you a free manager. But I would still prefer paid manager.

Manager only doesn't make you a complete team. You will need a partner. A partner can be useful if you are nearly 'dead'. Meaning if you reached health and adrenaline at zero level. You could change with your partner. You can have full control of your partner in the ring. But sometimes partner have stupid requests to you. Like asking you wear the same costume as their coustume. Another problem is to find a loyal partner. Yess, your partner can turn back and fight you if you accidentally throw him/her explosives and it explodes and some nonsense causes.

Maybe you're wondering now how to have a manager and a partner? It's easy. Play your career. you will see your avatar and it's stats in his right side. Click on your charcter and not the stats. Because if you click the stats, it will redirect you to train your character. Click your avatar and you would see some options like when you first create your character. Choose the second from below that is written 'Relationship'. Click on 'Relationship'. On the first two top buttons. Click on one of them and you would see list of names of wrestlers. Choose which one do you want tobe your manager.

It's ok if you get rejected. It is really common for them to reject and says that they didn't consider themselves as manager. But once you are famous, you don't have to look for manager and they would ask you if they may manage you. Simple right ? The same problem with partner i suppose. But looking for a partner is easier than looking for manager.

TRAINING

What a waste if you have a perfect team but your character itself is not that good. How do you increase your charcter's stats? It is by training. How to train? Easy... Start your career, then you will see your character above the timeline and beside him is the green-red thing. Click on the green-red image. Then you will see your manager asking you. choose which one you would like to increase. Once you choose one, tap rapidly on the red bar below to increase. Every level would increase about 1%..

Training too much aren't good. For each training, it would consume 25% of your character's health. So imagine if you train 4 times before a fight. Your character wouldn't be able to stand when he enters the ring. But you can train as much as you want if you have nothing to do 'next week'. 3 times of training would be a good training if you are free.

INJURIES

No matter how tough is your character, if it gets too much hit, it may get injured. There are two types of injuries, the face injury and the body or bone injuries. The face injuries is when your face gets too much punches and it bleeds. You can recognize this when your character's face is bleeding. Serious face injuries cam make your character or it's opponents getting stitches or surgery. So it is important to have a health insurance. The body injuries is caused when the pody gets too many hits, crushes, and suplexes. The common damage is bone fracture and needed to get surgery. The annoying part is you cannot wrestle until you are healed. If you don't have health coverage, you are needed to pay an amount of money to pay your surgery. The fatal effect is when your character is paralyzed. There you go, game over. All of your stats are being lowered to 50%. Your manager will pull your contract and cancel all of your waiting fights. The Power Slam would write "'X' is paralyzed and no longer being hoped to win any fights again" or "'X' has reach it's carrer's end". All you need is wait until your character suddenly healed by miracle. But all your character stats is 50% and you have no money because you need money in the weeks 'you' were paralyzed. Or the greates effect is you are dead. If that happends, GAME OVER.

BEST WEAPON

Unfair isn't it, to see wrestlers meet their career's end. But that's how the world should spin. Of course you don't want your character have the same destiny. You will need a emergency plan. Alaways bring a weapon that would give big damage. What weapon is it? Explosives, metals, and blades. For explosives, all you need is to throw it by pressing 'G'. Don't ignite it while you are holding it or it will explode in your hands. For metals, I mean is HAMMER! For blades, the best is knife or sword. Or if you can't find any weapon, look for a weapon that is made of wood, a stick would be good. To make it a bigger damage for your opponent, press 'R' and 'P' at the same time. This would ignite it and make them burning.

MONEY

You may be wondering what's the use of your money. Did I say that you can refund it with real dollar? No? Because that's not true... hahahaha.... Your money is used for you to buy new costumes or any kind of edit. If you edit your character, that would cost money, known as Gimmick. Your money could also be used for lifestyle.

Lifestyle cost would increase as you become a greater wrestler. Another use of money is to pay your injuries and surgery. One more use of your money is to pay fines. What fines? Some roster has move restrictions. If you accidentally use it, you will be ask to pay some amount of money.

How if I have no money? It is ok and fine by me. When your money reaches zero, and you have expenses coming, your money would drop below zero which means negative. But roster managers doesn't like that. They would give you deadline to finish your dept. If you don't finish your debt before the deadline, they would cut your teamwork and cancel their contract. You can prevent this by asking salary 30% above your ususal expenses. You'll neverknow what's gonna happend.

TAKING A BREAK

Tired of taking fights? Perhaps you want to take a rest to train and improve your character? Actually this is not possible. But sometimes this opportunity comes itself. Hollywood can suddenly ask you to shoot for a movie. You will not actually act in a movie, no. This will make your wrestling matches canceled and makes your schedule empty in a certain amount of wekks as written in your contract. By taking this break, besides you can train freely, you are also paid. But the salary is not as big as your wrestling salary. Sometimes Hollywood would pay you in advance. Good for adding money in your balance.

RETIRING

This has been a big question for me myself. So I asked Mat Dickie and he says that you can't retire. Restarting your career is the only way. So I guess if you find the game is already too easy, restart it and make a new character named like for example "Bryan Jr" and choose Inherit Universe. So that you can still se your sucessful previous career.

BUYING THE PRO LICENSE

Is it worthed spending $4.99 bucks to buy a pro license? For me, I buyed the Pro license after finishing 8 times sucessful careers. When I mean sucessful, I mean they are worthed $6,000,000 dollars. I find it is worthed to buy the Pro license. There is also a difference in the Sponsored Version and the Pro License. The Pro License has the Editor mode that allows you to edit all of the character in your universe, No Limitations. The Sponsored Version doesn't have the Editor Mode eventhough it is written having the same features like the Pro Version. I really suggest you to buy the Pro version. Just consider it a Thank you gift from you to Mat Dickie for the great game.
